Langman Ropes duoflex is a combination rope of polyester and polyver (polypropyleen) yarns. Due to this combination of yarns the duoflex rope has the advantages of both. So it does not absorb water because of the polyver yarns, but is it relatively strong because of the polyester yarns. Langman Ropes duoflex is supplied in a 3-strand twisted or 8-strand braided construction. Because of the good UV-resistant and high breaking load it is used a lot as mooring line and towing line in the shipping and offshore industry.

Properties:

- Does not absorb water
- Good UV-resistant
- Wet as dry the same breaking load
- Very low rebound

Finishing:

- Buying unit: per coil of 220mtr
- Possibilites making an eye / loop with or without protection, ask for the possibilities

Colours:

- White

Alternatives:

- Nylon rope, polyamide/nylon rope with relatively a lot of elongation
- Polypropyleen rope, the often mentioned 'orange diy store' rope
- Orkava, polyethyleen rope
- Polyester rope, stronger and better UV-resistant, does not float
- Ocean8 en Ocean12, luxury 8-strand and 12-strand braided polyester mooring lines
- Beaufort, luxury double braided polyester mooring lines
