The original top quality hempex®
Hempex is a spun polypropyleen rope. Hempex® is the registered trademark of Langman Ropes. Alternative brand names in the market are for example: spleitex, pp-tex, but our original Hempex is a lot better UV-resistant and stronger. The constructions are 3-strand, 4-strand, bolt rope (long lay) twisted or 8-strand braided.
Applications
Hempex rope is used for a wide variety of applications. In the yachting industry and on fishing boats and flat boats it is used a lot as sheet and halyard rope. Besides, Hempex rope is also used a lot for the wind mills as cervical rope, twin rope or bolt rope. Our long lay, bolt rope is pre-eminently suitable for sewing on the sails. In the scouting, Hempex is used a lot as pioneering rope. Also for the mounting of hammocks it is often used.
Because of the natural look, Hempex is often used as a synthetic alternative to hemp rope. Because of this, a lot of decorative applications outside are possible, where the natural ropes are desired but due to the low life-time not usable. The movie business gratefully uses this advantage. Movies like the Pirates of the Carribean and Nova Zembla (dutch movie) using/used our Hempex rope, see also our references.

- Polyester classic rope, (flat/smooth) polyester rope (even better uv-resistant)
